                   .                                    Drop in to the Old Bank on Charlotte and Dorchester to vote for your favourite Christmas Tree. Trees have been decorated by our charity partners to represent their organizations, and we want the public to pick the best. 

Drop in and see these unique beauties, and vote for your favourite by dropping some loonies in the box. The group with the most loonies wins.
In partnership with Hospice Palliative Care Society, the Ally Centre, Breton Ability, St Mary’s Church, and the Alzheimers Society. Open for voting 10 till 4 Mondays to Wednesdays and 1 to 9 on Thursdays every week up until Dec 21.
Dr. Brian Tennyson on “Cape Breton in the Great War” at the next meeting of the Old Sydney Society on 26 October 2017, 7:30 PM at the Old Bank Building, 175 Charlotte St., Sydney.
Brian will also launch his new book Nova Scotia at War 1914-1919 at the meeting.

After Utrecht A History of the French in Atlantic Canada

What Remains Exhibit, curated through Cape Breton University, opening tomorrow July 14th, 2017 at 5 pm at the   Old Sydney Society’s headquarters , located in 175 Charlotte St., Sydney ( former BMO building ) !                      Come and join us !!

What Remains will explore, through art and science, the remains of organisms after death and the stories they tell. The exhibit will showcase specimens from the Cameron Zoological Museum of Cape Breton University. Public programming will be offered throughout the summer months.
